If you’ve been in an art classroom recently, you might’ve seen the latest arts department celebrity – Mr. Benson Boone. He’s an American singer/songwriter from Monroe, Washington. He gained popularity by posting his music on TikTok and gained quite a few fans. His songs made it onto the radio, where his #1 Fan Rebecca Post was formed. She recalls that she was with her twin in the car, listening to the radio when his song Ghost Town started playing, “I was kinda into it cause it reminded me of the Justin Beiber song Ghost, and I vibe with that one too.”

Earlier in the year, his PR Team sent Bear Hub some posters and calendars, promoting him. But now, he’s given us an actual album to review! His debut album – Fireworks and Rollerblades – displays some deep emotions that he hasn’t explored in his previous music. Apple Music describes his main track for the album, “Beautiful Things” as a “pensive, guitar-driven slow-burner that takes cues from alt-country thrillers before evolving into an emo-pop anthem.” It was an audacious introduction to the album which is all about expanding into new territories.

If you want your very own Benson Boone poster, stop by 2125 or 1441 – and give his album a listen!
