Kicking it Together

It’s well known that East Brunswick High School boy’s soccer team is always a contender in GMC and States each year. Even when they don’t win, they leave everything they have on the field. But the 2021 boy’s soccer team is known not only for winning, but for their chemistry.

It’s well known that EBHS boy’s soccer teams are always contenders in GMC and States. Even when they don’t win, they leave everything they have on the field. The 2021 boy’s soccer team is known for not only winning, but their chemistry.

Since everyone on the team is friends with each other on and off the field, the chemistry was strong before the season even started. The team has the same goal in mind— bring home the trophies. Terrence McKibbin, head coach of the EBHS boy’s soccer team, emphasized “Our goal for the program is always to win trophies. We will be aiming to return the GMC Championship to East Brunswick.”

Despite not winning the GMC, the team went 12-5-2, finishing second in the Red Division, proving once again that East Brunswick always excels at soccer. Defender Jacob Negron, 12, stated “I’m proud of the effort the team put in throughout the season. They played hard and never quit when faced with adversity.” He continued, “I’ll always be grateful for EB soccer because it gave me some of the greatest memories and experiences in my life.”
