Q: WHY DOES BASKETBALL MEAN SO MUCH TO YOU?

A: Basketball means so much to me because the people I am surrounded by challenge me to be a better person day in and day out. My coaches and teammates always support me, and we have honestly become a family. After struggling with my self confidence, I was named a captain my junior year and was able to embody other valuable lessons, which have helped me in so many aspects of my life both on and off the court.

Q: WHAT’S ONE OBSTACLE YOU HAVE OVERCOME DURING YOUR TIME AT EBHS?

A: During my time at EBHS, an obstacle I had to overcome was finding the right balance between school, sports, free time, and of course, sleep. Despite having a lot on my plate, it was necessary for me to learn how to manage my time and learn to make sacrifices in order to fit everything into my schedule. I had to stay organized and understand my utmost priority was schoolwork, always. My friends are a big support system for me, so having the time to talk and spend time with them helped me overcome obstacles I faced.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION?

A: After graduation, I plan to attend college where I will play basketball while studying to be a Physician’s Assistant, a Nurse, or a Biology major. I ultimately want to help as many people as I can, and while I know being in the medical field is not the only way to do so, I feel being a part of this profession is rewarding in various ways.
