Among Us has been released for about 4 years now and in those 4 years the community has really grown ever since youtubers and twitch streamers started recording gameplay and showing their knowledge on how to be the best in both roles in the game.

As the years passed, players have developed their own way to play, changing the way they act depending on the role they’re given. I spoke and interviewed some players from the Among Us Discord Server to see what methods they use when given the role of imposter, or crewmate. While interviewing I asked each person about the roles they usually enjoy playing as well as different strategies they use in their games.

While interviewing players who enjoyed playing the imposter role I was able to get into their gameplay mindset as well the usual strategies they used. One user, a moderator for the server, said “Certain movements such as spamming Left and Right are good way to get someone’s attention to get them away from the group when playing as imposter, but don’t kill them since they can vouch for you in meetings”, another user on the server, a more casual player said “While playing as an imposter it’s important to take it slow as to not cause too much suspicion early on”.

On the other hand I also interviewed players who usually enjoyed playing crewmates, who’s gameplay mindset was a lot more different than those of imposter players. I spoke and interviewed with some players and found out how they avoid being slain, one user, a more veteran player said “As a Crewmate main, I see myself doing better roaming around with others usually in a group of one or two in order to get task done faster, and avoid being killed unknowingly”, another player, one who player for over a year now said “I’ve been playing for a good year now and I have to say that getting people to trust you first is the way to go before doing much else”.

As the community continues to grow more strategies will appear, as well as new updates and new maps for the game, these strategies will help newer and more veteran players in their games whether they are imposters or crewmates, but always remember to have fun while playing.
