With an astonishing record of 6-3, the 2020-21 Field Hockey team was here to make its presence known. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into the game, and were able to move from seventh place to second place in the Greater Middlesex Field Hockey Conference.
Varsity captain Riley Ward, 11, said, “It’s so inspiring to see how much the team has worked together and persevere…I got to see the spark in people’s eyes when they had a really good game or noticed how well they succeeded.”

These talented girls played their last game on November 6th against South Plainfield. During the game, goalie Jenna Garofalo made seven saves and Gianna Kurczeski scored two goals, resulting in a 4-1 win.
The team was able to bounce back after their previous loss to Monroe Township, keeping up the determined attitude they had for their previous games.
As varsity player Thaanvi Malgireddy told the Hub, “Winning and losing is just part of the game. Whether we can keep working at it is what really matters.”
