5 Quarantine Looks That You Cannot Go Without
Throughout the eight months of quarantine, what people wear to school has changed immensely. We’re here to show you the highlights of this style change for the best Quarantine Couture in your Teams calls.

The “Am I Cheating On My Math Test, Or Am I Just Camera-Shy?”
Everyone has seen this example of Quarantine Couture, showing up everywhere from chemistry to calculus. The hidden eyes and optional eyebrows make for a mysterious point of view while still allowing the wearer to claim that their camera is on when the teacher asks.

2. The “I Wish I Were Sleeping Right Now”
This look in Quarantine Couture inspires either envy or pity in all who look at it. Usually accompanied by tired eyes and a reluctance to turn their camera on, these swaddled students look nice and cozy while narrowly (and usually unwillingly) avoiding the clutches of sleep.
3. The “I AM Sleeping Right Now”
This bold look provides a statement of confidence (or exhaustion based apathy). These students, bundled up in bed, didn’t even get up for class. They are attending their Teams calls lounging upon their pillow thrones and gracing the class with their half asleep presence.
4. The “I Haven’t Seen Another Person In Two Weeks And I Want To Look Good” (Not Pictured)
This rarity of Quarantine Couture shocks all who look upon them. These students who were motivated enough to wake up, get dressed, and just altogether doll themselves up are a welcome oddity on the Teams calls. Though this look is more present in out-of-the-house occasions, (like grocery shopping or food pick up lines) this curiosity occasionally graces our screens. (However, not frequently enough for us to have been able to acquire a sample photo of this look.)
5. “My Parents Are Having A Loud Conversation About Taxes And/Or The Election, And I Don’t Want My Classmates To Hear Their Opinions” OR “I May or May Not Even be Present!”
This look in Quarantine Couture is an inconvenience for teachers everywhere, though it is one of the favorites on this list. The dark background, the colored dot, you don’t know what (or who) is being hidden behind that little square. Is the student on their phone? Sleeping in their bed? Trying to inform their talking parents that they’re in the middle of class? Perhaps the student isn’t there at all. Who knows! What we do know is that this look is going to be sticking around for a while yet.
