Q: WHAT EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY MEANS THE MOST TO YOU?
A: Art (specifically painting and drawing) are outlets for those creative ideas and thoughts that are constantly flowing through my head. Secondly, reading means so much to me. I am very imaginative, and while reading, I get to let my mind wander and it’s an outlet that I can almost escape to in a sense. I live by the quote by George R.R. Martin that reads, “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.” I have read so many different stories and have been able to engage and understand them, which is something I couldn’t live without. It adds depth to my life.

Q: WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF AND WHY?
A: My greatest accomplishment in all honesty, is flying to and from Poland by myself. I went for a summer camp/ study program in the summer going into sophomore year which in itself was a pretty amazing experience that I was able to be a part of. But since no one was going to stay with me while I was in Poland for the duration of the camp, I had to be able to come home by myself. The fact that I did it all on my own is what I was most proud of; it was a sense of independence but also trust with my parents and family, that they trusted me enough to allow me to fly to Poland and come back by myself. I was even proud of myself for being able to use my Polish and get around just fine on my own.

Q: HAS THERE BEEN A SINGLE CLASS YOU HAVE TAKEN THAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE AND/OR THE MOST INFLUENTIAL TO YOU AND WHY?
A: Although public speaking wasn’t necessarily my favorite, I still am really glad I took it because I took a lot away from this class. I was lucky enough to have a smaller class and we were able to bond and all help each other with our speeches while being supportive to one another. Of course, there was constructive criticism, but it was never delivered rudely and it genuinely helped in the long run. I also got to see the significant progress that everyone made through the course of the semester and not only did I become a stronger public speaker because of this, but so did everyone else I was in class with.
